Mixer Operator (Night Shift)

Production Supervisor Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Mixer Operator to join our production team. The Mixer Operator is responsible for producing asphalt compounds used in the manufacturing of modified bitumen roofing membranes. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare production batches by blending proper material weights according to blend formulations. Help ensure product quality through accurate blending and collaboration with the laboratory team. Follow all PPE requirements when adding polymers, including long-sleeve shirts, hard hats with face shields, and gloves. Operate mixers and agitators safely; tank doors must remain closed while equipment is running. Relieve the Finished Product Handler as needed. Maintain housekeeping in the control room, mix tank area, and other designated work areas. Perform lace-up responsibilities. Unload asphalt trucks while following all required safety and PPE procedures. Obtain asphalt and compound samples for laboratory testing as needed. Cross-train in other positions as required. Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas. Work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 120 pounds, either independently, with assistance from another employee, or through mechanical means. Ability to stack, lift, carry, and pull materials during batch preparation. Ability to move materials distances greater than 60 feet when required. Ability to climb ladders. Ability to work in hot and humid environments with temperatures up to 115°F. Ability to stoop, bend, and crouch for brief periods. Qualifications Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and counting. Commitment to working safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills. Forklift training and certification preferred. Manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus. Schedule Requirements Must be willing and able to work 12-hour night shifts . Must be available for rotating schedules, weekends, and overtime when required. Safety Requirements Must understand and comply with all company safety policies and procedures. Must recognize workplace hazards and utilize required safety equipment at all times. Must wear all required PPE for assigned tasks and work areas. Why Join Our Team?
