Contract-to-Hire Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Grinder Operator to smooth and finish metal parts by removing surface defects, sharp edges, scratches, and excess material using hand grinders and swing grinders. Key Responsibilities Operate large swing grinders and small hand grinders to finish metal parts. Inspect surfaces for defects and remove burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections. Select and install appropriate abrasive belts, wheels, and discs. Grind and polish surfaces to meet quality and finishing requirements. Replace worn grinding materials as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation. Follow company safety procedures and production standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 6-12 months of related experience or training preferred. Proficiency with hand tools and strong manual dexterity. Excellent attention to detail and precision handling. Ability to work in a conventional, air-controlled environment. Ability to work the scheduled shift and required overtime.
