Rotational Molding Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Rotational Molding Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining rotational molding equipment to produce high-quality plastic products. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, adherence to safety standards, and consistent product quality. Responsibilities Set up and operate rotational molding machines, ensuring proper calibration and safety protocols are followed. Monitor production processes, adjusting parameters as needed to meet quality standards and production targets. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and surface finish. Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to minimize downtime. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, ensuring proper materials handling and storage. Assist with fabrication tasks involving plastics blow molding, injection molding, extrusion, CNC machining, press brake operations, and hand tool assembly. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency. Requirements Proven experience operating plastics manufacturing equipment such as rotational molding machines; knowledge of plastics blow molding, injection molding, extrusion is a plus. Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC lathes, CNC programming (CNC), press brake machines, and other fabrication tools. Ability to use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and other quality inspection tools. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation control is preferred. Warehouse experience with materials handling equipment like forklifts; certification is advantageous. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, assembly, and quality control standards. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production specifications. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to promote continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent hand tool skills for assembly and minor repairs; mechanical aptitude is essential. Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to safety protocols.
