Job Description

Job Function Lead and support the mixing crew, ensuring all bread products are mixed, set up, and produced safely, consistently, and on schedule. Responsibilities Combine raw materials in proper sequence per the Formula Sheet, confirming correct amounts and mix times Mix, shape, proof, and support baking of sourdough, baguettes, loaves, hoagies, and bagels per recipes and production schedules Supply and rotate mixed ingredients to the line, keeping pace with the Oven Leader Complete and deliver batch forms to the Production Manager Communicate low stock needs to staff Maintain a clean, organized, sanitized work area in compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, temperature logs, sanitation protocols) Handle, store, and rotate ingredients per food safety guidelines Assist in training mixing helpers/assistant mixers; support and take direction from shift leads Follow all GMP, SQF, and safety procedures; report equipment issues, accidents, or food safety problems immediately Verify all batches are produced each shift; handle product carefully to maintain quality Perform other duties as requested; flexible with schedule, overtime, and early morning/weekend/holiday shifts Qualifications 1+ year experience in bakery, food processing, or manufacturing HACCP certification preferred; Food Handler's Certification required (or obtainable within 30 days) Basic reading and math skills; attention to detail Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Able to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks (stoop, kneel, climb, reach, push, pull) Able to operate a pallet jack and other material handling equipment Reliable attendance and scheduling flexibility High school diploma or equivalent work experience Nice to Have Sourdough fermentation or artisan bread experience ServSafe certification Working Conditions Factory/production environment with varying noise and heat levels.
