Santa Fe Springs, CA Job Details Temporary | Temp-to-hire | Full-time $26.50 - $28.50 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications Machine operation Basic math English Forklift High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility Full Job Description A 78 year old small Custom Injection Molding business is looking for an Injection Molding Machine Operator/ Set up /trainee whose responsibilities will include, but not limited to, working closely with the Plastics Manager to learn and assist with all functions related to injection molding including material handling, production, tool setups, and machines, as well as tool and equipment maintenance. We are seeking for an Operator/trainee to be able to assist the Plastics Manager and learn to do; Mold Setups / Machine Setups, troubleshooting and Processing. Must have experience with Plastic Injection Molding machines or have mechanical abilities.
Job Duties to include:
Operating Injection Molding Machine Remove and install molds (To be trained) Connect heating and cooling lines. (To be trained) Setup/program molding presses (to be Trained) Ability to drive a forklift (To be trained) Assist other operators with machines operational problems during production. (To be trained) Inspect molds, water lines, cavities and cores, and ejector pins for damage or excessive wear for each job prior to production. (To be Trained)
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of operator experience in plastic injection molding. Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting. Basic math and English skills Ability to lift 55 lbs. Forklift experience is a plus (not Required) Problem solving ability. Organizational skills. • Compensation will be based upon experience. •
