RESPONSIBILITIES
Manufacture new molds per mold designs. Modify existing molds to customer engineering changes. Maintain customer molds. Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure part/tooling meets specifications. Provide input to support the design of new molds and improvements of existing mold designs. Provide technical support for all other departments within Forum Contract Manufacturing DUTIES Maintain the cleanliness of the equipment and the Tool Room. Wear protective safety equipment (PPE). Follow all established company procedures ex: (vacation planning, personal time, clock punching and training). Fill out proper documentation for maintenance form(s). Make suggestions to improve molds, procedures, and products. Work as a team to check each others' work efforts. Follow preventative maintenance procedures to keep Tool Room equipment in appropriate condition.
EDUCATION
High School graduate, GED, Certificate Programs related to job description Completed apprenticeship in a tool making or mold making capacity or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE 5
years plus of mold making or other precision tool making discipline. Knowledge of plastic injection molding related to medical devices. Knowledge of close tolerance parts and their relationship to mold making. EDM, MasterCam, Solidworks, CNC programming desirable. Ability to use all precision measuring equipment. Good time management skill required.
