In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with manufacturing equipment, and a commitment to quality standards. Responsibilities Operate plastics blow molding, injection molding, and extrusion machines to produce parts according to specifications. Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot molding equipment, including press brake machines and CNC machinery. Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to ensure product conformity. Handle materials safely and efficiently using forklifts and proper materials handling techniques. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on molding equipment to minimize downtime. Assist with fabrication and assembly processes as needed to support production goals. Document production data accurately and maintain detailed records of machine settings and quality checks. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements. Collaborate with team members in warehouse operations for efficient materials movement. Use hand tools for assembly, adjustments, or minor fabrication tasks as required. Requirements Proven experience operating plastics blow molding, injection molding, or extrusion machinery in a manufacturing environment. Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment such as CNC lathes, press brake machines, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Familiarity with quality inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform basic math calculations accurately. Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; forklift certification is preferred. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices. Strong understanding of plastics fabrication processes and machining techniques. Warehouse experience is advantageous for efficient inventory management. Basic computer skills for recording data and operating CNC or PLC systems.
