Job Description

Job Overview Jonas Corporation, a plastics manufacturing firm, is seeking a knowledgeable and hard-working Injection Molding Process Technician to join our highly dynamic operation at our Savannah, Georgia facility! As an Injection Molding Process Technician, you will fill a critical role on our engineering and maintenance team, responsible for ensuring optimal equipment performance while aiding in the launch of new products, materials, and systems. In addition, our Injection Molding Process Technicians work closely with other functional departments to improve production processes and maintain an organized workplace. Responsibilities Directly responsible for equipment performance and completion of preventative maintenance plans for machines and molds. Support execution of the planned production schedule including machine startups, shutdowns, and changeovers. Promptly address relevant issues escalated by production during manufacturing. Maintain records of equipment maintenance plans, process sheets, and other machine specific documentation. Support special projects such as new product launches, equipment installations, and material trials. Promote a culture of safety, environmental awareness, good housekeeping, and 6S. Other shop floor related duties and responsibilities may be required as necessary. Requirements High school diploma or GED is required. 5+ years as a plastic injection molding technician or equivalent role is required. Experience with large injection machine tonnages or automated robotics / machine controls is a plus. Must maintain a positive, respectful attitude while communicating clearly with other team members and management. Must be able to complete tasks that require pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Must be comfortable working in an indoor manufacturing environment with exposure to various elements of heat, cold, noise, and dust.
