The Test Operator also tests and inspects subassemblies using a variety of test equipment and procedures. This position works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors and a considerable degree of judgment.

1st Shift 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Mon-Fri 2nd
Shift:
3:15 p.m. - 11:45 p.m Mon - Fri Responsibilities and Duties Performs test equipment setup per provided instructions. Performs testing and programming per provided instructions. Performs inspection, identify component values and orientation using documentation. Assists others in analysis of problems and identification of solutions. Supports production with tester set-up and debugging, reduction of false failures and downtime of test equipment. Qualifies test fixtures, equipment, automated software and test procedures specific to customer requirements. Reviews test equipment designs, test capacity, and data regularly. Recommends and implements innovative test solutions to improve test efficiency, test coverage and product quality. Makes decisions with little or no supervision. Requires making decisions that affect other people, the financial resources, and/or the image and reputation of the organization. Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve company goals. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge (position requirements at entry): Fundamental knowledge of computer setup and usage. General equipment testing functionality, evaluation and calibration techniques. Basic test equipment (i.e. digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, frequency meter, signal generator). Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software. Basic use of Windows based PC's and windows applications. Basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including uses, repair, and maintenance. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Lead and Lead Free Solder applications. IPC 610 (Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3) Understanding of ESD. Minimum Requirements Familiar with IPC 610 standards or greater. At least 1 year of experience in electronics manufacturing. Must be able to read and understand technical/electronics procedures and notes. Must be able to recognize and identify electronics components. Must be able to read and understand printed instructions and procedures. High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Previous experience with standard operating procedures. Previous experience with product electrical assembly, maintenance and/or repair. Soldering experience. Basic working knowledge and experience with computers.
Electronics Testing Experience Physical Requirements:
Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. in an 8 hour shift. Requires sitting, standing, bending, twisting. Requires medium to heavy lifting (approximately 50 lbs.). Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls. Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment. Be able to perform light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a productive/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials. #atlmfg
