Tire Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Tire Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves maintaining a safe and clean work environment while ensuring quality control in tire production. You will play a crucial part in the manufacturing process by handling tires, applying patches, painting, stacking, and organizing the warehouse. Responsibilities Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Receive tires at a workable height hanging on a hook. Perform visual quality assurance on tires and apply patches where appropriate. Paint and stack tires using mechanical assistance. Clean up and trim excess rubber on finished tires. Use hand tools and envelope tires. Add repair information to work orders. Load and unload tires in the chamber. Organize the warehouse as needed using an RF scanner. Stack and palletize finished tires as necessary. Keep the work area clean and organized. Essential Skills General labor experience. General production and machine operation skills. Warehouse experience. Forklift operation. Experience in a tire shop. Additional Skills & Qualifications Manufacturing or production experience preferred. Experience working with tires is a plus. Work Environment Work hours are from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays. The facility is brand new and exceptionally clean for a tire shop. The team consists of 12-15 individuals in this section of the shop. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
