Mold Set-Up Technician Quintex Molding - 4.0 Nampa, ID Job Details $19 - $24 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Forklift Bridge crane operation Lifts and hoists Material handling equipment operation Full Job Description Position Summary The Mold Set-Up Technician is responsible for safely and efficiently installing, removing, and preparing molds for production runs. This position works closely with production, quality, and maintenance personnel to ensure machines are operating properly and production schedules are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install and remove injection molds according to production schedules. Connect and verify water lines, hydraulics, air lines, and electrical connections. Set up and start molding machines following established process parameters. Perform mold changes safely and efficiently to minimize downtime. Verify first-piece quality and assist with process adjustments as needed. Troubleshoot molding, mold, and machine issues. Complete required setup documentation and production records. Perform preventive maintenance on molds and auxiliary equipment. Ensure molds, machines, and work areas are clean and organized. Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures. Assist operators and process technicians as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous injection molding experience preferred. Experience with mold changes, overhead cranes, and forklift operation preferred. Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools. Ability to read setup sheets and basic technical documents. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift. Ability to work around moving machinery and manufacturing equipment. Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes. Preferred Skills Knowledge of scientific molding principles. Experience with robotic automation and auxiliary equipment. Understanding of resin handling and material drying systems. Basic computer skills for production reporting and data entry.
