Setup (Mold) Technician ($2K Hiring Bonus!) AptarGroup, Inc. parental leave, paid time off, paid holidays, 401(k) United States, Illinois, Cary 1160 Silver Lake Road (Show on map) Jul 20, 2026 Set-up Technician - Day Shift (12-hour rotating shift role)
Shift:
B Shift, 6:45am- 7:00pm (Thurs, Fri, Sat + every other Wed) Position Summary Responsible for setting up, changing over, troubleshooting and documenting process problems associated with plastic injection molding.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Stes and/or pulls out molds from presses Works in a safe manner and monitors safety of equipment and work area Troubleshoots machines and process issues Communicates issues to Lead Process Technician, Production Supervisor or Process Engineer, Toolroom, etc. Communicates effectively within shift and with other shiftss. Changes nozzles, nozzle tips, nozzle heater bands, etc. as needed. Maintains housekeeping and 5S Standards Cleans and sets up auxiliary equipment Responsible for daily
PM's Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Requirements:
Must have a minimum of three years of related experience in injection molding. Must have mechanical skills/aptitude (as determined by testing). Must be able to lift 50 pounds, reach above shoulders for periods of times. Must be able to stand, walk, life, squat, bend, push, pull, grasp, twist, lift, and climb steps. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this position is: starting at $19.00/hour plus any applicable shift differential.
