Slitter Operator

Our steel processing facilities are growing fast, and we are excited to be adding to our production teams! Job Duties Set-up, operate and observe machine in operation to meet order specifications, detect material defects and/or machine malfunctions Maintain all production and quality related reporting Responsible for the overall quality of the material and productivity of the line Comply with all plant safety rules and guidelines Operators must maintain their work areas, in order to keep a clean, safe and productive work area Job Requirements High school diploma or GED is necessary 1-3 years in manufacturing industry required, previous slitting experience is preferred. If applicants do not have Slitting experience, on-the-job training may be offered. Basic math, measurement, computer skills, and ability to read and follow directions. NMP employees must be able to repeatedly lift up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 35 lbs. as needed. Ability to follow all safety and health regulations
