Injection Molding Technician Maverick Tech Elgin, IL Job Details Full-time $19.00 - $23.10 an hour 19 hours ago Qualifications Forklift Certification Lifting equipment Injection (injection molding) Forklift Shop math Full Job Description About the Role As a Production Tooling Specialist, you will serve as the technical backbone of our manufacturing floor by optimizing machine readiness and ensuring seamless production cycles. You will leverage your expertise in injection molding to minimize downtime, maintain high-precision tooling, and drive operational efficiency across our facility. Responsibilities Execute precise tool installation and machine changeovers to prepare equipment for high-volume production runs. Proactively troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform real-time adjustments to maintain optimal cycle times and part quality. Manage comprehensive mold tooling inventory to ensure all components are accounted for and ready for deployment. Execute systematic press tear-downs and follow standardized mold-pull protocols to ensure equipment longevity. Maintain accurate production records and downtime logs within our ERP system to support data-driven process improvements. Uphold a clean, organized, and safe shop environment to facilitate efficient workflow and hazard prevention. Monitor press performance continuously, escalating complex technical challenges to leadership to ensure consistent output. Required Skills Proven mechanical aptitude with a strong background in injection molding processes. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds and standing for extended durations. Effective communication skills with the ability to interpret and follow complex technical work instructions. Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations for production setup and monitoring. Valid forklift certification and operational experience. Preferred Skills Five or more years of hands-on experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to facilitate effective team collaboration. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational background.
