  • 7:30 AM Position Summary The Set-Up Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, installation, and changeover of molds and auxiliary equipment for injection molding machines.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety. Pay rate is based on experience and negotiable Essential Responsibilities Move mold tooling and auxiliary equipment to and from injection molding machines. Perform mold and equipment set-ups, changeovers, and start-ups. Remove and install molds as production schedules require. Troubleshoot molding equipment, processing issues, and mold tooling concerns. Maintain accurate mold tooling inventory records. Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment while ensuring all safety features are functioning properly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Complete and review production, setup, maintenance, and safety documentation. Verify job documentation and machine specifications before setup. Report and document maintenance and safety concerns promptly. Assist with material handling and quality inspections as needed. Support production operations and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in plastic injection molding and mold setup required. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and use precision measuring instruments, including calipers. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and setup adjustments. Experience fabricating or modifying components for production improvements is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds regularly. Ability to climb ladders and work safely around production equipment. Sit-down forklift experience required.
