$20-$21/hour (based on experience) πŸ”§ Job Overview Join our production team as a Batch Operator , where you'll play a key role in manufacturing high-quality paint and coatings. This hands-on position involves weighing, mixing, and preparing batches while following strict ISO and safety guidelines. You'll work in a collaborative environment with opportunities for cross-training and skill development. βœ… Key Responsibilities Safely work on the production floor in close proximity to team members Weigh and prepare 2-3 batches/work orders per shift using facility scales Roll and move drums (up to 500 lbs with equipment) to pallets for shipment Follow batch-making instructions to manufacture materials in portable tanks Fill containers according to ISO documentation and specifications Complete and maintain accurate batch tickets and production paperwork Operate mixers, pumps with filters, forklifts, pallet jacks, and drum-moving equipment Monitor batch processes to prevent spills, inaccuracies, or quality issues Send completed batches to Quality Control for testing Clean mixers, pumps, tanks, and drums using approved solvent blends Handle powders, bags, and raw materials per batch directions Transfer hazardous waste (filters, rags, scrap paint, solvents) to satellite waste areas as needed Manufacture pastes and dispersions using HSD mixers in the mill room Multitask across multiple mills and processes efficiently Report any process or equipment issues to supervisors promptly 🧠 Essential Skills & Qualifications Experience in production, manufacturing, or machine operation Ability to read and write in English Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specifications Positive, coachable attitude with willingness to learn βž• Preferred Qualifications Forklift experience Batch mixing experience Paint, ink, or coatings industry background General labor or industrial machine operation experience Troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude 🏭 Work Environment Paint and coatings manufacturing facility Exposure to paint smells and solvents Requires reading spec sheets, weighing/measuring materials, and documenting processes Safety-focused, detail-driven environment 🌟 Why Work Here? βœ… Cross-training across multiple production processes βœ… Supportive, team-oriented work culture βœ… Hands-on role with skill growth opportunities βœ… Stable hours with occasional Saturday overtime βœ… Emphasis on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement πŸ“© Interested? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
