Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Execute safe & accurate start-up procedures for production presses, ensuring all equipment runs at optimal speeds & meets quality parameters Perform fast & precise color and material changeovers including purging systems, clearing material lines, & setting up tooling to minimize scrap & downtime Provide rotational technical support & floor coverage, enabling primary operators to take scheduled breaks without interrupting production flow Identify & resolve machine or tooling faults in real time by adjusting settings such as temperature, pressure, & speed to correct defects Inspect first-article parts & conduct routine quality checks using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure parts conform to exact specifications Assist with routine preventative maintenance & mold or die changes, & maintain a clean, safe work area around equipment & processes Supervise & train all operators assigned to blow molding Troubleshoot both machine & process issues as they arise Perform mold changes, start up new jobs, & assist with color changes Document & maintain process condition changes, & collaborate with QA to ensure all target weights & colors remain within specification Enforce proper use of PPE and ensure all cutting protocols are followed throughout the shift Assist with cleaning grinders and troubleshooting auxiliary equipment issues Provide break coverage for operators as needed throughout the shift Communicate any process, equipment, or auxiliary equipment issues to other shifts in a clear & timely mannerPOSITION REQUIRMENTS
2+ years of hands-on experience in a blow molding manufacturing environment operating & setting up production machinery Must have industrial large-shot Extrusion Blow Molding experience Strong mechanical aptitude + ability to read & interpret technical manuals, work orders, packaging, quality instructions, bill of materialWORK ENVIRONMENT/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 2 Shift 3:30PM-11:30PM Ability to spend the day working or standing Ability to lift 50lbs. and move heavy items with the use of a crane or forklift and able to safely climb and move around machinery Non-climate-controlled, high-noise production & warehouse areas where appropriate PPE must be wornCompensation:
