The Mixer Operator will safely operate industrial mixing equipment, perform quality checks, maintain accurate batch records, and follow all GMP, food safety, and safety requirements.
Basic math skills, including weighing, unit conversion, and portioning.
Strong attention to detail with ingredient measurements, lot tracking, and documentation.
Ability to safely operate industrial mixers and related equipment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Verify ingredient lot codes, expiration dates, and quantities before mixing.
Operate industrial mixers, water meters, and controls safely and efficiently.
Monitor dough consistency, hydration, temperature, and development throughout the mixing process.
Assist with adjustments to mixing times, speeds, and ingredients under direction of the Master Mixer.
Perform basic quality checks and report ingredient, dough, or equipment issues.
Accurately complete batch sheets, mixer logs, lot tracking forms, and digital records.
Maintain a clean and sanitary work area and follow all GMP, allergen control, PPE, and sanitation requirements.
Assist with equipment cleaning during changeovers and at shift end.
Follow company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and equipment safety procedures.
Communicate with the Master Mixer, production team, and other Mixer Operators to maintain efficient batch flow.
Assist with training new operators in basic mixing tasks as needed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.
Comfortable working around loud machinery, equipment alarms, and variable temperatures.
Must be able to properly use required PPE, including safety footwear, hard hat, hearing protection, and safety glasses. We are seeking a Mixer Operator to accurately prepare dough batches by weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to approved recipes and production schedules. This role works closely with the Master Mixer and production team to maintain consistent dough quality and steady production flow.The Mixer Operator will safely operate industrial mixing equipment, perform quality checks, maintain accurate batch records, and follow all GMP, food safety, and safety requirements.
