Cell Operator A - Set Up/Mill Operator 3rd shift Parker Hannifin Corporation $21.00 - $23.18 / hr life insurance, parental leave, paid holidays, sick time, long term disability, 401(k) United States, Indiana, Syracuse 501 South Sycamore Street (Show on map) May 29, 2026 Position Summary Experienced and detail-oriented set up and mill operator responsible for preparing, operating, and monitoring rubber processing equipment to ensure efficient production and high quality output. Skilled in machine set up, material handling, and milling operations. Troubleshooting equipment issues and maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, adherence to production schedules, and commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Run a barwelll machine by loading bundles of rubber into the machine and setting up the barwell to cut rubber into specific pieces. Running a mill by loading stabs of rubber onto the machine. Once the rubber is milled, rolling the rubber into bundles of 2 ft and up to 40 lbs. Moving the bundles to the barwell machine. Setting up rubber molding machines, changing machine molds, cleaning molds and press machines, troubleshooting set up issues and running press machines when needed. Provide assistance to all department press operators, may need to get materials, supplies, or assist with production problems. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 70 lbs. Must be able to use a mill knife to cut through rubber at the mill. Follow an instruction sheet for performing standard work. Maintain product integrity and quality. Maybe require to use forklift, hand trucks, or other material handling equipment. Be a member of the department's high performance team keeping track of quality, productivity, scrap, cost, and safety. Participate in problem solving, cost saving, team improvement, and team engagement. Committed to exceeding all customer expectations through customer satisfaction, total employee involvement and continuous improvement. Participate on HPT (High Performance Teams) Qualifications Must demonstrate a strong safety work culture. Be able to recognize potential safety hazards. Work safely in the environment and be a safety role model. Be able to read and follow basic work instructions Basic computer skills Math skills are required Work as a respectful team member Good attendance history Be able to work independently Be able to work in a team setting Be able to multi task and serve operators with needs High School Diploma is preferred or at least 3 years related work history Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule Come be a part of a winning team with engaged and empowered team members Position is on 3rd shift 11pm-7am Starting pay is $21.50 with step wage progression based on performance Shift premium up to $1.25/hour
