Job Title:
Mold Setter Job Description The Mold Setter is responsible for the safe and efficient installation, removal, and setup of injection molds and related equipment to support production schedules and quality requirements. This role ensures molding machines are properly prepared for production runs by performing mold changes, equipment connections, and startup verification while minimizing downtime. The Mold Setter works closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to maintain safety, maximize efficiency, and achieve customer quality standards. Responsibilities Perform safe and efficient installation, removal, and setup of injection molds and related equipment. Ensure molding machines are properly prepared for production runs by executing mold changes, equipment connections, and startup verification. Minimize downtime and maintain production schedules and quality requirements. Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure safety and efficiency. Achieve and maintain customer quality standards. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read setup sheets, work instructions, and production documentation. Knowledge of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment. Safe operation of overhead cranes, hoists, and material handling equipment. Understanding of quality standards and inspection procedures. Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and cooling systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with mold changes and machine setup. Familiarity with production and injection mold processes. Preventive maintenance skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $49920.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
