PrideStaff has a great global client in Hebron KY needing to add additional talent to is Injection Molding operation. We have an Injection Molding Operator role on 1st shift Mon-Fri 615a-215p paying $17.50 to start. Previous machine operating experience is important! The employee will be removing parts from an injection molding machine and will prepare them for packaging and labeling. Machine monitoring and quality inspection will also be included within the responsibilities of the position.

Essential Job Function:

Injection Molding Operator ensures the efficient operation of molding presses. This includes monitoring the quality of the parts produced, performing visual quality checks throughout the shift, and troubleshooting minor machine issues. The operator should also be able to perform start-up and shut down procedures of the machinery, accurately use scales to weigh bins or boxes, and maintain daily production requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operates molding presses and performs proper machine start-up and shut-down procedures.
• Monitors part quality throughout the shift, conducting consistent visual checks to ensure standards are met.
• Troubleshoots minor machine issues to maintain steady production flow.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Accurately uses scales to weigh bins and boxes as required.
• Meets established daily production requirements while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicates promptly with the Shift Lead regarding quality concerns, machine issues, or safety risks.
• Utilizes applicable computer systems including CMS, SPC, and the internal portal with proficiency.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Injection Molding Superintendent.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in manufacturing environments.
• Technically oriented with working knowledge of manufacturing systems and related processes.
• Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in relevant computer programs and production systems.

Physical Demands:

Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory, to operate a motor vehicle and forklift; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. The job involves walking and working on slippery surfaces. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment. All employees must wear company approved safety glasses while in the plant and distribution areas.

Environmental Elements:

Employees primarily work in the warehouse and are exposed to loud noise levels, vibration, chemicals, dust, mechanical hazards, and moving objects or other vehicles. May be exposed to cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, mechanical hazards, and hazardous physical substances and fumes. Employees may interact with staff and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.
