Carencro, LA Hours/Schedule:
12-hour shifts (6am-6pm/6pm-6am), rotating days and nights with days off; weekends are required. 4 days on, 2 days off; rotate days and nights each 4 days, weekends are required this schedule is same for both shifts. Under direct supervision, the Mfg. Production Technician safely performs one or more of the following Molding processes: operating production machines and/or various hand tools used for production, monitoring process equipment and tools, and inspection of finished goods. All personnel may be required to cross-train in other functional manufacturing areas. Performs special projects and job tasks as assigned. Must maintain quality standards as set by the company. Essential Job Duties Must adhere to all related OSHA, EPA, DEQ, and DOT safety rules and regulations in concurrence with Company's Policies and Procedures. Authority to shut down any operation that reveals possible harm to self or another employee. Must adhere to and be knowledgeable of Company's Policy and Procedures and must remain abreast of all amendments to the Policy. Participate in daily safety meetings and all safety programs and strictly comply with all safety procedures. Must be able to read, interpret and follow all SOP's and control plans. Be alert to and notify Lead Operator or Department Supervisor of changes or irregularities on the production line or process. Monitor molding operation to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain and understand proper use of all tools used on the molding lines. Must have good housekeeping by sweeping and maintaining area during down time. Must be willing and able to work rotating 12 hours shifts, as determined by production schedule. Operating a forklift to move various size pallets or products. Visually inspecting molds for quality or maintenance items as needed. Verifying and keeping count of production totals and qualities. Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or educational equivalent. Entry level. Basic mechanical aptitude.
