You will leverage your technical expertise in precision measurement and mechanical assembly to ensure our tooling infrastructure remains in peak operational condition. Responsibilities Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance programs to extend the lifespan and performance of injection molds. Perform precise disassembly and reassembly of hot and cold runner systems to resolve mechanical issues. Drive production uptime by identifying and recovering lost cavitation through expert component repair. Maintain rigorous quality standards by inspecting mold components and recommending necessary replacements or modifications. Manage inventory levels for critical tooling components and coordinate procurement to prevent production delays. Utilize overhead cranes and specialized rigging to safely move heavy tooling for in-press conversions. Document all maintenance activities and mold history to ensure accurate record-keeping and process improvement. Uphold a high standard of shop safety and organization to foster an efficient work environment. Qualifications Required Skills High School diploma or equivalent with specialized technical training in tooling. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mold assembly, disassembly, and maintenance. Proven ability to perform precision measurements down to .0001" using standard metrology tools. Strong proficiency with manual machine shop equipment and power tools. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret technical specifications. Preferred Skills Practical experience in mold component polishing to achieve A-3 finishes. Experience with inventory management and vendor communication for tooling parts. Strong collaborative skills with the ability to communicate technical data effectively within a production team.
