Job Description

The Mold Technician is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day functionality of production machinery by monitoring machine operations, troubleshooting problems, performing minor repairs on production and auxiliary equipment, such as grinders, etc., ensuring proper documentation of work orders and communicating to Shift Supervisor and Maintenance staff on any issues with equipment. Responsibilities Monitor molding machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure they are operating properly. Troubleshoot problems by diagnosing cause, making minor repairs, and cleaning mold and/or platens as necessary to prevent quality issues. Adjust controls and/or machine settings as required to maintain optimum operation and quality of parts. Perform machine start-up and shut down as needed to meet production schedule. Perform preventative maintenance activities as scheduled or required. Use correct measures to return machines and equipment to their manufacturing operational condition within a reasonable amount of time, including being able to troubleshoot and repair from OEM schematics. Oversee, follow and enforce all safety practices and quality standards. Prepare and submit work orders for the Maintenance Department to address more major issues or problems. Interact daily with Shift Supervisor, Cell Leaders and Packers to stay informed of any operational concerns and production needs. Act as backup to Shift Supervisor when necessary. Quality is everyone's responsibility.
Requirements:
High school diploma (or GED equivalent) plus two years of manufacturing experience Good mechanical skills, ability to read schematics, and prior experience with production machinery. Knowledge of injection molding machines and basic processing, required Must be able to fluently read, write and speak the English language. Basic computer skills with experience in MS Office Suite and ERP software (IQMS preferred) #ST101
Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
