The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a Concrete Plant Operator to safely operate and monitor a ready-mix concrete plant supporting major transportation and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include batching concrete to specified mix designs, coordinating with dispatch and field crews to meet production schedules, performing basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance. The Operator ensures strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards while maintaining accurate production records in a collaborative, training-focused, career-growth environment. Responsibilities Operate and monitor concrete batch plant to meet production schedules and mix specifications Batch concrete according to approved mix designs and project requirements Coordinate with dispatch, truck drivers, and field crews to ensure timely deliveries Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and preventive maintenance of plant equipment Assist with basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and minor repairs Monitor material levels and coordinate deliveries of cement, aggregates, and admixtures Maintain accurate production logs, batch records, and quality documentation Follow and enforce all safety, environmental, and compliance procedures Support quality control testing and adjust mixes as directed by QC personnel Participate in training, safety meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives Required Skills Concrete batch plant operation Equipment operation and inspection Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting Reading mix designs and job specifications Quality control and testing support Preventive maintenance Safety and OSHA compliance Recordkeeping and production reporting Loader and conveyor operation Communication with dispatch and field crews
