We are seeking a detail-oriented person to join our dynamic team in the Prepress & Graphics department. In this vital role, you will prepare print-ready graphic files, modify graphic images, manage color accuracy, and ensure the highest quality standards. Duties Review (preflight) incoming customer-supplied artwork and assess file content and fonts for proofing and print readiness Identify missing or problematic components and communicate the questions to sales/service and customers to constructively resolve any issues Apply color management, convert formats, and identify specific color requirements Prepare the graphic files for proofing and production success using the required software Ensure correct setup of die lines, location marks, folds/scores, and file layers Create working files and the step & repeat layout for them Output the production plates and properly store them Complete the cutting die file, place the order, and coordinate with external vendors Collaborate with the Sales/Service, Production, and Quality teams to ensure seamless workflow from design to final print product Manage color consistency through color profiles, calibration tools, and measuring devices to meet standards such as Gracol and G7 criteria Preferred Requirements High School Diploma or GED is required An associate's degree, related technical training, or direct work experience with an emphasis on computer graphics, graphic arts, or design is preferred Experience with the Apple operating system, Adobe Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, QuarkXpress, or related graphic design and composition software Able to read and understand production orders, various production documents, and both oral and written job instructions Math capabilities, able to work accurately with fractions and decimals Active listening, critical thinking, and decision-making skills Strong communication skills and attention to detail Quality-minded Physical Requirements and Work Environment Frequent sitting, standing, and walking; occasional bending, squatting, reaching, twisting Regular use of hands and fingers for computer and equipment operation Physically able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds Visual acuity, capable of precision measurement, identifying product details, and color assessment. Successfully meet the Ishihara color test requirements.
