Full-time / Direct Hire Position Overview A well-established plastics manufacturer is seeking an experienced Process Technician to support injection molding operations during evening and overnight hours. This role centers on mold setup, process control, and technical troubleshooting to maintain stable production and high-quality output. The technician will serve as a technical resource on the production floor and collaborate with leadership and engineering as needed. Core Responsibilities Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational procedures. Execute mold setups, startups, and changeovers on assigned presses. Fine-tune processing parameters to maintain consistent part quality. Identify and resolve molding, tooling, or equipment-related issues. Minimize scrap, downtime, and inefficiencies through proactive process control. Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to production operators. Document process adjustments and communicate technical findings to leadership. Support continuous improvement efforts focused on cycle time and setup reduction. Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on injection molding processing experience. Solid understanding of mold functionality, cooling, venting, and part ejection principles. Experience working with larger or more complex molded parts preferred. Mechanical aptitude to assist with basic tooling and equipment support. Comfortable using computers for documentation and communicating across departments. Work Environment Combination of production floor and office-based tasks. Extended standing and walking throughout shift. Manufacturing environment may involve heat, noise, and industrial machinery. Expected to function as the primary technical resource during assigned hours.
