Performs fundamental work using existing procedures. Understands safety, quality, and blow mold processing. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Understand and comply with all safety rules and guidelines in accordance with Amcor's safety requirements, programs, and initiatives. Able to demonstrate how to set up and operate 2 different blow molding platforms. Demonstrates knowledge of mold assembly drawings to be able to setup and install blow mold components correctly. Demonstrates and can explain the process of converting a preform into a bottle. Able to measure and inspect bottle samples following established procedures. Accurately document process information, quality data, and machine or tooling related issues. Conduct scheduled audits for Safety, GMP, and HACCP. Perform general housekeeping duties and basic maintenance. Operate forklifts and cranes. Meet timelines and deliver on aggressive schedule and work assignments. Participate in continuous improvement. Participate in the writing of policies and procedures related to departmental capabilities, technology, equipment, systems and training. Assist with training others as needed. Requires safety consciousness, accuracy, integrity, interpersonal understanding, teamwork and cooperation, achievement orientation, listening, understanding, and responding. Business Knowledge Knows own job function and internal and external knowledge of the business. Analytical Skills Thinks within procedures and specific precedents rather than specific instructions. Customer Focus Utilizes working relationships within ADP, ALS and Development Engineering personnel. Understands both internal and external customer needs. Projects Assists with project execution with limited supervision. Communication Skills Tact and effectiveness in dealing with others in everyday working relationships, including contacts to request or provide information. Demonstrate and speak to processing decisions. Decision Making Carries out detailed instructions for several tasks. Limited permission regarding certain machine adjustments or process adjustments, and repairs. Guided by checklists and documented tasks. Works under immediate supervision. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum 4 years of experience in blow molding. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word. High energy level with the capacity for learning and learning quickly. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work cross-functionally throughout the organization (i.e., with Injection Molding, Warehousing, and ALS). Strong communication skills (written, spoken, presentation, listening). Ability to become certified operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
