Job Function:
SWS-Trimac, Inc is seeking to fill a need for a 1st Shift Swiss Lathe Operator. Successful candidates will be a key team member in our machine shop.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile. Perform job/tool setups on Swiss CNC lathes. The employee is also required to interact with a computer(s) utilizing company software and communicate with co-workers. Thorough understanding of the Citizen Swiss Control is a plus. Ability to work with limited direction and supervision.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Thorough understanding of GD&T Familiarity with a variety of tooling and fixturing/work holding. Good math skills. Ability to communicate to Quality Department regarding first article and random inspections. Excellent understanding of manufacturing equipment, ability to understand function of equipment, and each of the machines capabilities. Verbal Communication with supervisors and other employees. Functional and Technical Skills regarding, Tooling, Attention to Detail, and proper Judgment. Education /
Experience:
High School diploma/GED Equivalent Required. Job Shop or Prototype experience a plus. Associate degree in a Machine Tool Trade a Plus. Journeyman Tool and Die maker experience a plus. Two years of experience in related position in the machine tool industry.
Swiss Lathe Control:
1 year (preferred).
