Full-Time About Wayne Rubber Wayne Rubber is a growing rubber manufacturing and distribution company specializing in molded rubber products and custom rubber compounds. We are opening our first manufacturing facility to bring production in-house and deliver even greater quality and responsiveness to our customers across the industrial, consumer, automotive, and specialty markets. As one of the first members of our manufacturing team, you'll play a key role in helping us build a world-class operation from the ground up. Position Overview The Rubber Molding Press Operator is responsible for operating rubber injection and compression molding presses to produce quality molded rubber parts according to customer specifications. This is a hands-on production role that requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment. Because Wayne Rubber is a growing operation, this position will also involve supporting additional tasks such as material handling, operating a forklift, loading/unloading trucks, and performing finishing operations such as trimming, sorting, and deflashing molded parts. Key Responsibilities Operate rubber molding presses (injection, compression, or transfer) safely and efficiently. Load molds and prepare materials for each production run. Monitor press cycles and part quality during production. Perform part finishing operations such as trimming, sorting, and deflashing. Assist in mold setup, cleaning, and maintenance. Handle raw materials and finished goods using forklifts or pallet jacks. Load and unload freight trucks as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and safety standards. Support continuous improvement efforts in quality, efficiency, and safety. Perform additional duties as needed to support production and facility operations.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED. Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Willingness to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Team-oriented attitude and reliable work ethic.
Preferred:
Experience operating rubber molding presses or other molding equipment. Forklift operation experience. Experience with part trimming, inspection, or other secondary operations.
