Purpose & Scope First Shift:
6am-3pm daily The purpose and scope of this position is to support Alliant Castings in preventing mistakes or defects in our manufactured products. This requires overseeing product quality inspection requirements, customer complaints/returns, continuous improvement, data entry, final inspections, auditing the castings process, and detailed documentation. Duties and Responsibilities Collect or audit process information Perform final inspection MPI Hardness Visual Dimensions/Layouts/Gauging Scanning as needed Populates and posts SPC data
- Alloy Hardness Values Scrap
- Daily count and posting of scrap Sample Process Expeditor Liaison between production floor and process documenter Collects samples processes data Weighs
- core weights, pour weights and casting weights Times
- pour times, grind times Temperatures
- pouring Operator feedback Pictures of each step Maintains the flow of the sample process route Perform special Quality/Engineering projects on an as needed basis.
Excellent communication and Leadership skills Additional duties as assigned
Skills & Experience:
High school degree, GED or equivalent work experience and skill development is required. Post-secondary training or education in a quality-related field required. Must have six (6) months working experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Computer knowledge required.
