Job description If you are an adaptable and organized Process / Mold Technician that loves working on a highly skilled team, this is the position for you!
Job Overview:
This is a leadership support position to production and is responsible for molding quality products, safely and efficiently, with minimal scrap rate.Daily Duties:
Determine that all processes meet safety requirements and are performed properly. Mold quality products with available equipment, tools, and materials efficiently at stated labor standard and at minimal scrap rate. Review and react to control limits. Correct molding problems. Assign job duties to product processors, material handlers and floor persons. Monitor their performance. Maintain full authority of premise when plant management is not present. Communicate with process engineer and other technicians at the beginning of scheduled shift about issues pertaining to safety production, processes and quality. Read and implement specific duties in logbook. Perform capability studies if required. Clean hoppers/grinders/color units for upcoming jobs and/or ensure this is complete. Ensure daily production is stacked at the end of the scheduled shift. Complete all end of shift paperwork required: downtime summary, overtime, and production summary. Read blueprints and convey pertinent information as required. Follow-up on maintenance personnel and maintenance items as required. Key Responsibilities Providing technical support to all projects and work to reduce any defects. Monitor all processes with the goal of resolving any issues as efficiently as possible, reducing downtime. Ensure that all workers at pre-assigned presses are fully compliant with all relevant safety rules and standards Coordinate with the team at all times, maintaining clear and open lines of communication Reporting faults and breakdowns to supervisors and production engineersRequired Qualifications:
Two years of experience in injection molding Certify to operate power forklift truck and cranes. Must be able to lift 50lbs Must provide own toolsJob Type:
