Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated molder & wood manufacturing machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience setting up, maintaining and operating industrial wood manufacturing machinery. With this, the candidate will need to be able to notice when machines start preforming outside of tolerance ranges and be able to quickly resolve the problem to keep run times up.
Machines include:
gang rip saw, straight line rip saw, top bottom planers, sanders and most importantly, 5 and 7 head molders. In each step, a keen eye for precision is important to make sure we are providing the highest quality product we can. Duties Operate Forklift and stage material appropriately Set up and operate moulder Set up and operate other machines (planers/sanders/rip saws/etc) Read sales order sheets and pull raw material from inventory and process that material to finished spec according to the paper. Ability to designate small tasks to other team members in order to keep work flow going Conduct heavy lifting as required for materials and equipment Keep work site clean, sweep floors, blow off machines after uses. Wrap and band finished pallets Collaborate with team members to ensure safety standards are met on-site Load finished pallets onto flatbed trailers and box trucks and safely strap them down when needed. Requirements Minimum of 2 years experience in the millwork/wood manufacturing industry Familiarity with construction site practices and safety protocols Strong skills in woodworking Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks consistently Experience with 5, 6 or 7 head molders is mandatory Knowledge of finished product tolerances Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within a team environment If you are passionate about construction and have the skills necessary to excel as a Machine maintenance and setup Operator, we encourage you to apply.
