Job Duties Review tooling designs for plastic components to ensure they meet engineering, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
Design and developtools, molds, dies, and fixturesfor high-quality components.
Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve tooling performance, quality, and cost.
Usemold-flow analysisto identify potential molding issues and improve production efficiency.
Work with tooling suppliers during the RFQ process.
Maintain documentation related to tooling designs, analysis, and process improvements.
Support continuous improvement of tooling processes and manufacturing capabilities. Requirements Strong knowledge ofinjection molding tooling design and mold-making processes
Hands-on experience with injection molding tools and tool maintenance
SolidWorks/CAD
GD&T
Mold-flow analysis
SPC, DOE, and Six Sigma
Knowledge of 2-shot molding, insert molding, IMD/IML
Understanding of machining and secondary processes
