Mold Room Operator- 9pm-7:30am Monday- Thursday

The Mold Room Operator provides various departmental support roles in the Mold Room and reports to the Department Foreman. As a Mold Room Operator, you must display strong attention to detail and quality as well as excellent communication skills. You must also be able to work well with people and demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules. Potential pay increase during the first 90 days if criteria are met. Hours are Monday through Thursday 9pm-7:30am. Job Duties Reports to assigned work centers as determined by the department foreman on a daily basis. Operates the molding machines for production. Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunctions and contains that suspect product for review, recycle, or scrap Ensures hopper have adequate levels of raw materials Grinds rejected parts for recycling as appropriate Ensures quality standards are met Inspects product to ensure compliance expectations as indicated by internal Quality Instructions. Verifies accuracy of work Ensures efficient operation of all machines, performing simple production troubleshooting activities, and ensuring adequate material supply at assigned machines. Expected to make in house machine adjustment Performs subassembly tasks as assigned Assists in the accurate and orderly storage of finished product Packages and labels product as per work instruction requirements. Operates all assigned equipment safely and efficiently Ensures that work area is clean and safety standards are followed Interacts with the department Foreman to prioritize the daily work load Performs inventory counts as requested All other duties as assigned Skills / Qualifications Basic shop math skills Ability to perform work of a repetitive nature Ability to work in a fast paced environment Job Requirements No minimum departmental experience required. Willingness to provide a flexible work schedule Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. routinely Able to walk up and down a step ladder The salary/hourly range indicated in this posting represents a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position.
