Job Description

Our client is a privately owned manufacturer specializing in high-performance plastic fasteners and custom plastic hardware components such as screws, bolts, nuts, washers, and threaded inserts. Founded in 1967, the company provides precision manufacturing services including CNC machining and injection molding. It serves a wide range of industries including aerospace, medical, semiconductor, electronics, chemical processing, and construction, focusing on durable, corrosion-resistant plastic parts used in demanding environments.
Salary:
$22-$28/hr. depending on experience
Job Summary:
Our client seeking a Molding Technician to support injection molding operations producing high-engineered plastic components. The role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting injection molding machines, performing mold changes, and ensuring consistent quality and efficient production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Set up, process, and change over injection molding machines (60-400 ton Nissei and Sumitomo machines) Perform mold installation, mold changes, cavity block adjustments, and set changes Adjust machine parameters such as temperature, shot size, and pressure for optimal production Program and operate robots for part removal and de-gating Load raw materials and support material handling needs Troubleshoot molding processes and resolve production issues Support operators with quality control and inspection tasks Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including general housekeeping Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 3 years of injection or blow molding experience preferred Ability to read technical prints and processing documentation Skilled in use of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, optical comparators) Strong understanding of resins, shrink rates, and mold setup/processes Experience with tooling setup and process troubleshooting Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork abilities
