Job Description

The primary requirements of the Strip Mill Operator are to properly blend and process compounds through the mill and batch-off within allowable specifications. We Offer You! 2:45pm-11:00pm

Strong mechanical aptitude. Necessity for attention to detail. The ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently. Capable of maintaining quality control by monitoring production output. Ability to identify any issues with the product or process. Job requires the operator to cut the rubber stock off the mill and to be able to lift it back up to band on the mill Must be able to pull a rubber strip(s) approximately 2 to 20 inches wide, from the mill and feed it onto the take-off belt located approximately three feet away This job is on a two to five-minute cycle Requires the operator to communicate with the additional staff members Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned Fill out two-roll safety checklist Assist in establishing and maintaining compound processing procedures Fill out any applicable paperwork Cut samples for QA testing Clean grease pans weekly Keep work area clean Lifting Following all safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures Operating a forklift for various functions.
Your Credentials:
One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment High School or GED preferred Willing to work overtime including weekends Close visual work required. Knowledge of general computer skills. Attention to detail.
