Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Die Cast Operator will create, adapt, and adjust molds used in cast manufacturing.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None Duties/Responsibilities:

Constructs, adapts, and modifies molds for die cast tooling, metal stamping, and other molding operations. Uses various measuring and gauging tools to perform necessary inspections before, during, and after molding operations. Sets up equipment based on mold requirements, materials, and tolerances. Executes production runs; conducts quality control testing before mold enters production cycle. Maintains knowledge of materials and products. Assists machinists and millwrights with injection molding process and equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Thorough understanding of machinery and mold creation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Thorough understanding of applicable safety rules.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time. Superior manual dexterity, muscular control, and delicate touch necessary to complete precision work without damaging valuable molds. Visual acuity to read blueprints and perform visual inspections.

Pay Information:

Base $18.36 Shift premium 10% $1.83 "Hot" pay premium $2.50 $22.69 (when on 3rd)
