The Process Technician is a highly skilled technical role responsible for performing advanced die, color, and material changeovers, as well as start-up, optimization, and troubleshooting of injection molding machines. This position ensures equipment is running at peak efficiency to meet safety, quality, and production standards. The Level III technician serves as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced technicians and operators. Key Responsibilities Follows all safety policies and LOTO procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Sets up, adjusts, and optimizes injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and tooling for production runs. Performs advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for process deviations, quality issues, and equipment malfunctions. Monitors and fine-tunes molding processes to ensure consistent part quality, cycle efficiency, and reduced scrap. Conducts mold and material changeovers, ensuring proper setup, documentation, and adherence to process standards. Collaborates with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to improve process capability and implement corrective actions. Develops and maintains detailed process documentation, setup sheets, and parameter records. Uses forklift and/or overhead crane to pull, change, or set molds. Provides guidance and technical support to junior technicians and production staff. Assists in new mold trials, process validations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintains a clean and organized work environment following 5S and GMP principles. Performs other duties as assigned.
