SUMMARY:
The Mold Setter aligns with manufacturing operations and engineering to achieve optimal production efficiency and effectiveness in support of the overall goals, objectives, mission and vision of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Mold set-up and removal Operate tow motor Setup work area around the presses Maintain order of all tools and equipment Clean components Assist with cleaning the molding /production floor Mold tear down and assembly Promote group continuity through effective verbal and written communication. Enforces all safety rules and regulations as required by local, state, and federal government mandates, including all rules established by plant management and the plant safety committee. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma and 1-2 years' experience in Injection Molding or other contract manufacturing environment set-up/removal. Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling and lifting (up to 50 pounds periodically). Capable of visual acuity to include distinguishing color variation and detecting defects . Able to work safely in a production environment; Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements. Ability and willingness to work in other areas of production (Injection molding machines, pad printing, material handling), as well as overtime when needed. Technically and mechanically inclined; Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems and fluid power Able to read blueprints and schematics (preferred) Efficient in MS Office Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and with others Ability to prioritize issues, takes action, follow through and focus on delivering results Ability to identify issues, generates solutions, and use relevant information to drive decisions; Proactive troubleshooter and problem solver; Strong attention to detail Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and time management skills along with the ability to effectively multi-task with patience and tenacity.
