Concrete Mixer Driver (Seminole, OK)

Van Eaton Ready Mix is local, family-owned and operated, and has grown over the last 20 years into a state-of-the-art ready mix producer for projects throughout the state of Oklahoma and the region. Although Van Eaton Ready Mix now owns a fleet of over 80 concrete mixers and employs over 300individuals, we remain committed to producing quality concrete products and offering personalized customer service. $21-25 per hour with $31.50-$37.50/hr for overtime hours over 40. Pay depends on prior CDL-A/B experience. Monday-Friday usual schedule, some weekends may be required for coverage. Home every day, local runs. $1,000 sign on bonus for new hires! $500 up front, $500 after 90 days of employment. Deliveries will be made in both industrial and residential areas.

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. CDL-A required, 1 year of CDL-A/B experience preferred but not required

Essential Functions:

Deliver material as customer specifies, after determining customer's requests are safe and possible. Communicates truck/job status to dispatch professionally and maintain good public relations with customer. Maintain the appearance of truck, proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels, oil, hydraulic, coolant and fuel. Perform minor repairs to truck as needed. Maintain load in transit to job. Adds fiber reinforcement and other additives to load as directed. Inspects load during wash down, reports any problems after proper mix time of 3-5 minutes. Complete washout procedures both during and at end-of-day; cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck; may spray surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of concrete. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections during allotted time to ensure safe operation of truck and mixer. Ensure that safety, compliance, environmental and DOT requirements are followed at all times. Adhere to designated schedule and request PTO/Vacation in appropriate manner, as well as call in according to policy. (call in 1hr before shift start time and 2wk for PTO/vacation requests, requests aren't guaranteed and await approval to confirm plans). Performs other duties and projects as assigned. This is a Van Eaton Ready Mix "safety sensitive" position.
