Pellet Mill Operator- 2nd shift Kamps Pallets - 3.2 Levittown, PA Job Details Full-time From $19 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Supervising experience Full Job Description The Operator is responsible for the daily production of the pellet mill and associated automated equipment, the daily recording and accuracy of production data sheets, and the inventory of both raw material and finished goods. Good knowledge of the principles, policies, practices, and strategies to properly operate a comprehensive manufacturing program for the entire facility. This plant location recycles pallets and wood off fall into wood pellets. 2nd shift $19 per hour 4pm-2:30am The operator is responsible for troubleshooting his/her equipment and ensuring it is properly maintained and kept in top working condition. This is a very "hands on" position from a mechanical sense. The operator will be making manual adjustments to pellet mill tooling, production speeds, and wood grinding equipment. The operator should have a strong mechanical background and be familiar with large industrial equipment. Good organizational skills are a must. The operator is responsible for performing on shift maintenance as necessary, preparing equipment for maintenance work, as well as gathering critical process data and communicating shift activities with supervision. You will be expected to communicate with the other shifts and plant management via email, a logbook, and verbally. The operator must be able to foster and support teamwork among all crews and crew members. You are expected to set the proper example in work ethic, personal interaction, lead production team meetings, communicate company objectives to your crews, understand the business and how your team affects the success of our company and conduct yourself as a professional. Plant safety adherence is another requirement of this position. The operator is responsible for ensuring the plant is clean and in an orderly condition. Due to the nature of the business, good housekeeping is a necessity. In addition to setting the proper example, you are expected to ensure all personnel under your supervision are complying with the company safety policy and wearing their personal protective equipment when required. Other duties as assigned would be included in this position.
