This vital role involves conducting comprehensive mold inspections, assessments, and remediation planning to ensure safe and healthy indoor environments. As a key player in the restoration industry, you will utilize your expertise to evaluate mold growth, identify sources of moisture intrusion, and recommend effective remediation strategies. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will help clients restore their properties efficiently and confidently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference in people's lives through expert assessment and consultation. Responsibilities Perform thorough mold inspections using industry-standard equipment, including moisture meters, air sampling devices, and visual assessment tools. Collect air and surface samples for laboratory analysis to determine mold types and concentrations. Identify sources of moisture intrusion or water damage contributing to mold growth and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Develop detailed assessment reports outlining findings, remediation recommendations, and safety protocols. Assist clients with understanding inspection results and guide them through the remediation process with excellent customer service. Support emergency response efforts for water damage, flood restoration, or fire incidents by providing rapid mold assessment services. Operate company vehicles safely while adhering to all safety protocols, including PPE use and respiratory protection measures during inspections or remediation activities. Requirements Valid licensure as a Mold Assessment Technician / Consultant with the state of Texas or equivalent certification. Proven experience in the restoration industry, especially in mold remediation, water damage restoration, flood restoration, or fire restoration. Strong knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use, respiratory protection, asbestos abatement awareness, and general industry standards. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, Xactimate (estimating software), and other inspection equipment effectively. Construction experience or familiarity with building structures enhances your ability to assess complex environments accurately. Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor when communicating inspection findings and recommendations. Willingness to participate in on-call coverage for emergency response situations outside regular hours. Physical ability to perform inspections that involve climbing ladders, crawling into confined spaces, or working in various environmental conditions.
