Job Description
Nesco Resource | Laurens, SC Nesco Resource is currently hiring a 2nd Shift Slitter Operator for a manufacturing facility in Laurens, SC. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented candidate with machine operating or manufacturing experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. Job Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor slitting equipment used to cut and process materials to required specifications. Load and unload rolls of material onto production equipment. Adjust machine settings according to production specifications and work orders. Monitor material throughout the slitting process for proper alignment, width, tension, and quality. Inspect finished materials for defects and ensure products meet quality standards. Use measuring tools to verify product dimensions and specifications. Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting as needed. Identify and report equipment or quality issues to the appropriate supervisor. Label, package, and prepare completed materials for the next stage of production. Complete production, quality, and material documentation accurately. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and required PPE guidelines. Perform additional production duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous slitter operator, machine operator, textile, or manufacturing experience preferred. Experience working with rolls of fabric or other continuous materials is a plus. Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read measurements and follow production specifications. Strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Dependable attendance and reliable transportation. Must be available to work 2nd shift
