Temp Are you detail-oriented with a passion for cutting-edge technology? We are seeking a Fiber OpticTest Operator to play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality standards for advanced fiber optic products. In this hands-on position, you will test and verify the optical performance of fiber optic cables, assemblies, and components using specialized equipment—helping deliver reliable solutions that power modern connectivity.
What You'll Do:
Set up, calibrate, and operate state-of-the-art optical testing equipment Perform insertion loss (IL), return loss (RL), and geometric testing on single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic products Interpret test results, identify defects or anomalies, and document data accurately in manufacturing execution systems (MES) Prepare detailed test reports and support root cause analysis for any performance issues Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Shipping teams to meet production schedules and customer requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following strict quality and safety protocols
What You Bring:
1-3 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic testing, manufacturing, or a related electronics/optics field Excellent hand-eye coordination and comfort working with delicate glass fibers under magnification (microscopes) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions Strong attention to detail with solid data entry and documentation skills Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP/MES systems High school diploma or GED preferred U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (required due to ITAR regulations)
