Key responsibilities include operating the mixing drum, pouring concrete safely on-site, and performing vehicle inspections. Duties and Responsibilities Drive heavy commercial trucks safely to and from job sites following local traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Control the revolving drum to mix and maintain the concrete at the correct consistency (slump) during transit and delivery. Maneuver the truck on uneven or tight job site terrain, set up extension chutes (weighing 35-50 lbs), and discharge the concrete according to customer requests. Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, log hours properly, and wash down the truck after every load to prevent concrete hardening. Job Requirements and Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or Class B). Pass a DOT physical examination, drug and alcohol screenings, and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Ability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs occasionally), climb ladders and truck steps, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
