Job Summary We are seeking motivated Plastics Injection Molding Process Technician to join our manufacturing team for 2nd and 3rd shift(s) . In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts. Your expertise will ensure efficient production processes, uphold safety standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Complete daily cycle checklist to ensure safe and efficient operation of complex injection molding equipment Setting and adjusting molds prior to production runs Complete line clearance following color changes Respond to machine alarms Monitor, audit, and provide guidance to line operators Provide technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel Adjust machine parameters such as temperature, pressure, and cycle times based on process requirements Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to verify part specifications Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control machine operations effectively Handle materials safely using proper materials handling techniques and hand tools Support fabrication and assembly processes as needed to meet production schedules Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, including 60-950 Ton equipment, Proficiency with plastics injection molding processes and techniques Experience with quality inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments Ability to operate forklifts safely within warehouse environments Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction Knowledge and understanding of robotics and auxilliary equipment. Skilled in using hand tools for fabrication, assembly, and maintenance tasks Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments Understanding of materials handling procedures in a manufacturing setting Experience with plastics injection molding processes to include multi-shot molding Qualifications I. High School diploma or equivalent •Required:
Lift truck and overhead crane certification (company provided) •Required:
RJG Master Molder I or II, AIM Molder I or II, or equivalent II. Work experience •Required:
5+ years experience performing mold setups or similar work using tools and machinery related to plastic injection molding •Required:
