Join Aurora Organic Dairy as a Controls Engineer and help keep our Platteville processing facility running at its best. In this hands-on technical role, you'll support automation systems, industrial networks, PLC programming, plant data collection, and capital project implementation—all while contributing to a company committed to organic dairy integrity, operational excellence, food safety, and continuous improvement. What You'll Do
  • Maintain and improve plant industrial systems to support safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Program and support PLC systems, industrial networks, and connected platforms such as ERP and factory efficiency systems.
  • Support shop floor data collection, data mining, and operational reporting needs across the plant.
  • Assist with programming, technical planning, and implementation for capital projects and new equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and make system changes to meet evolving operational needs.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Operations, and other plant teams to coordinate projects, repairs, and process improvements.
  • Participate in equipment selection and support project implementation from concept through completion.
  • Support food safety, food quality, HACCP, and SQF programs by monitoring, reporting, training, and helping maintain compliance. What We're Looking For
  • Degree or certification in Engineering, or equivalent related work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, industrial programming, or a related technical role.
  • Experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk and RS suite programs.
  • Knowledge of industrial networking, system maintenance, and plant automation.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
  • Familiarity with virtual environments and vCenter is preferred.
Work Environment This role includes time in both office and plant floor environments. Candidates should be comfortable working in a high-speed manufacturing setting that may involve walking, climbing, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds at times, and working in changing or adverse conditions. $115,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
