Process Engineer - Transformer Factory (Greenfield Build) About the Role Location United States of America North Carolina Charlotte Company Siemens Energy, Inc. Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Transformers Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Manager / Team Leader Join Siemens Energy at the ground level of a brand-new, state-of-the-art Transformer Manufacturing Facility in Charlotte, NC. This is a rare opportunity to help build a factory from the ground up, shape manufacturing processes, and play a critical role in establishing a world-class operation. In this role, you won't just improve processes—you'll design, implement, and influence them, while contributing to the successful launch of a high-performance manufacturing site and collaborating with global teams supporting the energy transition. A Snapshot of Your Day As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role across the full lifecycle of large power transformer production—from early facility setup and process design to ongoing optimization and innovation. You'll work cross-functionally to design efficient, scalable, and safe manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support the successful ramp-up of production. This role offers the opportunity to make a visible impact in a greenfield environment while collaborating with global peers to bring new ideas and innovations into the Charlotte facility. How You'll Make an Impact Lead initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance across manufacturing operations Design, implement, and optimize processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and compliance Drive continuous improvement and global standardization across production workflows Champion innovation through digital tools, automation, and decarbonization initiatives Conduct risk assessments and implement actions to ensure process reliability and performance Partner cross-functionally to support production iness, capacity planning, and ramp-up What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience) Min 3 years (5+ preferred) of experience in medium or large power transformer manufacturing Experience in manufacturing engineering, project management, or industrial operations Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred Experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred) and knowledge of TPM and OEE Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment Why Join Siemens Energy?
