An established multinational chemical manufacturing company is seeking an Operations Engineer to support business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational coordination. This is an excellent opportunity to transition into a commercially focused role while leveraging your technical or plant manufacturing knowledge. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly and annual budgets, forecasts, P&L projections, and variance analysis to support business decision-making. Analyse operational and financial performance, providing meaningful insights to management. Coordinate monthly management reporting and business performance reviews. Compile, analyse, and maintain historical operational and financial data for planning purposes. Prepare Board papers, management reports, and presentation materials for senior leadership. Monitor supply planning and pricing information to support production planning and cost optimisation. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with operations, commercial, finance, and corporate teams. Liaise with government agencies, external partners, and internal stakeholders on business planning and coordination matters. Drive continuous process improvements by leveraging digital solutions and AI tools to enhance reporting efficiency and operational effectiveness. Support ad-hoc business planning and strategic initiatives as assigned. Key Requirements Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in chemical operations with strong analytical skills interested in moving into a planning, budgeting, and business coordination role. Finance or Accounting professionals with at least 2 years of experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis within a chemical manufacturing plant environment are welcome to apply Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, or business planning. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Strong report writing and presentation skills. High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems will be advantageous.
